Battleground Game Likely to make a comeback

Notably, Battleground mobile India download game previously known as PUBG Mobile India is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, exclusively for players in India. It is an online multiplayer battle royal game developed and published by Krafton.

The game was released on 2 July 2021 for Android devices, and on 18 August 2021 for iOS devices. However, on 28 July 2022 BGMI was removed from the Play Store in Android and App Store in iOS following orders from the Indian government.

BGMI is a player-versus-player shooter game in which up to 100 players competes in a battle royal, a type of large-scale last man standing death match in which players compete to be the last one standing. Players can enter the match as individuals or as small groups of up to four.

Banned

As per Government guidelines, the shooter game was banned by Indian government on 28th July 2022 from virtual app stores due to security concerns.

However, there are certain predictions about game being back online.

About 5 months back, Google Play Store and App Store removed Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) from their apps listing. The digital app stores followed the orders of the Indian government, which imposed a soft ban on BGMI over alleged safety and privacy concerns.

Since then, the gaming industry in India has been waiting for the ban to be lifted. From gamers to e-sports content creators, everyone is venturing on the possible return of BGMI. However, in a recent disclosure, many gaming content creators have claimed that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will be unbanned at the start of 2023.

Android Comeback

According to gaming content creators of AFKGaming BGMI is returning to Android next month. In a recent live stream of Pratik “Alpha Clasher” Jogiya a player named ‘predatorsasuke’ claimed that he works at Google. Further, he shared the tentative relaunch date of BGMI. “You’d be very happy, BGMI will launch on Google Play Store on 15th January. However, it is a tentative date,” he claimed.

Later in another livestream by player Sohail “Hector” Shaikh answered a question on possible return of BGMI. The reply was followed by, “The game is going to return in January. Someone from Google said this. I don’t know this personally, but I have heard this.”

He also claimed that he would inform prior 2 weeks if he gets any information on return of BGMI.

As per reports, there are no official statements released by Krafton or Google related to the comeback of BGMI. Following the ban, Krafton is trying hard to lift off the ban. Krafton is assuring the players to bring back the game by making continuous talks with the government. However, no update or announcement has been made till date on the return of BGMI on app stores.

New to come

As for January 2023, there is still a hitch for BGMI, but Krafton does have something else ready for players. The BGMI and PUBG Mobile maker Krafton has confirmed two new games for the Indian market.

According to latest updates, the company’s office located in Seoul, South Korea, announced that they are planning to launch two games — The Callisto Protocol and Defense Derby early next year.
