Google officially launched Google Lens on October 4, 2017, with app pre-installed in Google Pixel 2.

Google Lens compares the picture you just took (or even the image in your viewfinder) against a huge database of images from around the web. Machine learning algorithms sort and rank indexed images based on how closely they match your shot.

Identify Skin Conditions
The latest skin condition detection feature in Google Lens enables users to identify moles or rashes. Further, the users don’t need to provide any textual description. However, this feature gets functional when captures an image or selects an image from your photos.
Notably, this feature is dependent on Google’s proficiency of recognizing images. Moreover, this feature is not intended as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis.
Help in Homework
Similarly, the app is also helpful in solving homework problems. If you are stuck on any subject related problem like math or history, then you are good to go with this app.
Simply launch the app, switch to the ‘Homework’ filter, and take a photo of the problem you are trying to solve. Further, the feature supports multiple languages and even lets you choose your preferred language for search results.
Shop with images
Recently, Google revealed to integrate Google Lens into Google Bard. Besides, this will enable users to include images when composing a Bard prompt. This integration aims to enhance the comprehension of user queries by Google’s AI chatbot.
Additionally, users will have the option to utilize the “Google it” button to switch to the renowned Google search engine, where they can explore visually similar products from online sellers, as stated by Google.
