Increase in Sudden Heart Attacks

Increase in heart attacks among healthy young Indians. What’s driving it?

The sudden increase in heart attacks in young and middle aged Indians are tremendously rising. The cases of sudden heart attacks and strokes are becoming rampant among healthy, young Indians.

Data Analysis of Vaccinated and Non-vaccinated People

A survey conducted by LocalCircles, a community by social media platform has revealed that these health issues are arising in both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

According to a survey, 51% of people have experienced a stroke or heart attack, a blood clot or neurological disorder in their close network in the past 2 years.

The study found the percentage of those knowing one or more individuals with sudden severe ailments or complications rose from 31% to 51% within a year.

A total of 62% of the people in their close network experiencing such severe conditions were double dose vaccinated; 11% were single dose vaccinated while 8% were unvaccinated, the study added.

Covid-19 After Effects

According to researchers, over 200 million people worldwide have suffered Covid after effects. These long conditions include myocarditis, pericarditis, brain fog or memory issues. Also, people with long Covid conditions have experienced sleep apnea, fatigue, joint pain and other health conditions.

As observed in the past months, many healthy, young and middle-aged individuals, have experienced a heart attack and died. Further, as analysed the individuals were engaged in some physical activities like dance, gym when they experienced cardiac arrest.

What is driving such sudden deaths?

“Stroke has been seen as a manifestation of Covid-19 in various studies showing that 0.9% to 23% of Covid-19 patients developed stroke,” stated Bengaluru-headquartered Narayana Health.

The studies reveal that few patients initially observed with stroke was later found to have Covid-19. More to it, these patients were young without the risk of brain stroke.

As per the government guidelines at the onset state, cardiovascular sequelae not only occur in symptomatic Covid-19 patients. A report suggests that cardiovascular sequelae have also been reported in asymptomatic patients. Moreover, about 30% of patients hospitalized with severe Covid-19 have evidence of myocardial involvement. Further leading to elevated troponin levels, venous thromboembolism, heart failure and arrhythmias”.

Further, study this in the context of the impact of Covid variant and the impact of vaccine and batch numbers.

Furthermore, he alleged to bring more clarity to the issue. Also, finding the root causes behind these severe medical conditions experienced by people. It will also enable us to get better prepared for what could be coming.”
