The much awaited Maruti new car, Suzuki Jimny 5 doors is ready to roll out in the Indian Automobile market from June 2023.

The Maruti new car, Suzuki Jimny 5 door was first unveiled at Auto Expo event in January 2023. While, many details of the car were announced at the event, still there were some pending features to get revealed.
Boot Space
In the 5-door format, the car gets a boot space of 208 litres. However, you can expand the space to 300 litres by folding the seats of second row.
Rear Seats
The rear seats of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny offers a 50-50 split. As they come with a 2 stage recline function.
Instrument Cluster
The instrument cluster in the car get two analogue pods for tachometer and speedometer. Furthermore, there’s an MID sitting in between the two.
Latest Updates of Maruti Jimny
The company has got the ball rolling for the production of Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The first unit of the off-roading has rolled out from its production line in Gurugram.
Moreover, it has already amazed the market with over 30000 bookings before launch.
Further, the Jimny has a longer wheelbase and a silver screening as compared to the 3-door model.
Maruti Jimny Engine Updates
The Jimny 5-door is powered by the 1.5-litre K15B engine instead of K15C engine. In addition, it produces 105hp and 134.2Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Equally important, the SUV is equipped with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system. The system has a manual transfer case and a low-range gearbox with ‘2WD-high’, ‘4WD-high’ and ‘4WD-low’ modes.
The manual gearbox-equipped Jimny 5-door returns a fuel efficiency of 16.94kpl. Besides, the automatic gearbox version has a fuel efficiency of 16.39kpl.
With a fuel tank of 40 litres, the Jimny manual could cover up to 678km on a full tank, while the automatic version could cover up to 656km.
Notably, these figures may vary from the real world.
Variant Updates
The SUV is all set to launch in two broad variants, namely, Zeta and Alpha.
For color selection, the off-roader is ready to frill in Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, and Pearl Arctic White.
More to it, it also gets Kinetic Yellow hue with only dual tone combination. Apart from this, the Sizzling Red gets the option of a black roof.
Features of Maruti Suzuki Jimny
The bucket of features holds a special feature of 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Moving on, the list includes, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and connected car tech.
The Jimny is filled with advanced features like LED projector headlamps with a washer, and automatic climate control.
Further, the SUV is equipped with cruise control, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, 15-inch alloy wheels, and rear defogger.
Regardless, passenger safety is must. And, for that carmaker has six air bags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, and electronic stability control.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Expected Price
The company has not yet revealed the price tag for the SUV. However, the expected price may range between Rs 10 lakh-12 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Competitors
As of now, the off-roader has no such competitors. However, considering the specifications it may compete with Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.
Waiting Period
The manual variants will have a waiting period of up to six months upon launch. However, the automatic variants will have a waiting period of up to eight months.
